George W. Bush showed a decent sense of humor at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner by having an impersonator mock him. A lot of comments I’ve seen say it “shows how much of an idiot he is.” Well, I personally liked it. It showed that he realizes how he has been coming off to the American public. Really, there’s not much he can do at this point to marginally increase his approval rating. Stay in Iraq, leave Iraq. React to Iran & North Korea, or don’t. Speak for or against immigration rights. Anything he does is likely to decrease his approval even more.

Also, Colbert didn’t pull any punches there. If you haven’t seen that by now, you’re missing out. One could taste the discomfort in the room.
