Thanksgiving

Monday, November 28th, 2005

Rachel & I helped cook for my family’s Thanksgiving this past week. I went really well, and the food was delicious! Here are links to the recipes on VegWeb:

Spinach Artichoke Dip
Pumpkin Tofu Pies
Sweet Potatoes with Cranberries and Greens

And, of course, no Thanksgiving would be complete without Tofurkey and Stuffing!

Buy Nothing Day

Friday, November 25th, 2005

Happy Buy Nothing Day, everyone. Accordingly, here’s eHow.com’s tutorial on “How to Buy Nothing.” If you’d like to go shopping today, I’d recommend going online, as there are many Black Friday deals that don’t require going to the store. And, since Amazon is completely online, you could do some shopping there. So please, don’t go get trampled at your local Wal-Mart.

America’s Next Top Model

Friday, November 11th, 2005

For the past few weeks, I’ve been watching a show with Rachel called America’s Next Top Model. I was sceptical at first, but it definitely has its moments. Below is one that I’d like to share. Lisa, while insane, can be pretty hilarious sometimes. [click here to see the video < 1 min]

RAM Testing

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2005

My friend Dan and I both got RAM upgrades for our laptops (iBook and PowerBook, respectively). Someone gave him the idea of informally testing the newly gained power by opening all applications at once. I tried it; pretty fun seeing all the icons bouncing in the dock and applications opening. Here’s a screencap of Expose when it finished:
